How long is too long to be away from alzheimer's victim?

My nonna has alzheimer's disease, it's not severe, yet. My family have been wanting to go on a holiday to europe (mainly italy and spain) but, im afraid that if we go and leave nonna behind, she might not remember us when we come back, so i was wondering what amount of time would be okay to spend overseas, i was thinking maybe 2 weeks, since when we go to a different state for a week she remembers us of course.
please help (btw my nonna lives in a small flat in our backyard, and my mother hires people to look after her while we're away.)
Thanks

I think you can go on the trip there are people looking after her but if your worried she will forget you when you come back then I suggest you leave pictures of you and your family. The people who take care of her can show them to her everyday and ask ''who is this''.If you can, You can also try and call her and she will probably remember your voice!
If you decide to go then have fun!
