A fairly high mezzo-soprano, big range, a belter. Musical theatre, really, but any songs that'll sort of show off a voice, preferably with piano sheet music, but if not, that's cool.
NO JUSTIN BIEBER/LADY GAGA OR ANY OF THAT POP TRASH PLEASE!
Answer on Good solo songs for girls to perform?
"Easy as Life" from Elton John's "Aida"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2PAg6neH… (This is the original Broadway star, I think she's a bit nasal, but at least she's singing in the original key)
Very dramatic, good belting song
Also "Buenos Aires" from "Evita"
If these are too "pop" try "Hold On" from The Secret Garden
I couldn't find a youtube link with the original Broadway cast. This must be a harder song that I thought it was (I've sung it though) because there are a lot of really horrible renditions out there--lot of notes just not sung correctly or not sung at all!
There are a lot of good songs for a mezzo-soprano/belter in Cole Porter's "Anything Goes" like the showstopper "Blow Gabriel Blow"
All these songs are available as sheet music (with transposable keys) at http://www.musicnotes.com and http://www.sheetmusicplus.com
