Why are the Americans so arrogant in saying that god bless america and no place else.?

Facts: 1- Most of the Americans have never traveled outside of their hometown yet alone outside the country.
2- They are calling out Italians and Germans with Mussolini and Hitler statements but they are currently invading a sovereign country ( a decision that was not decided by people's vote in this "democratic" country.)
3- They are torturing presumed innocent people in Guantanamo?
4- Their soldiers are raping and killing innocent people in Iraq. Even making videos of these atrocities.

Finally: God bless every single human, not just America. When I lived in the US I enjoyed the general Americans, however the hard core Republicans and their politicians are simply making the rest of the world hate them.

GOD BLESS US ALL and I only wrote this against the stupid comments they have been putting up due to 4th of July otherwise lets stick to football and FORZA AZURRI. (Though I am Italian may the best team win, I just hope its Italy)

Answer on Why are the Americans so arrogant in saying that god bless america and no place else.?

Pancho:

While I appreciate some of the dismay in your "question", I think in the final analysis, you yourself fall victim to the very evil you seek to decry.

Namely, your post generalizes and stereotypes an entire nation of people for the sake of your rant, then hypocritically tries to excuse yourself "I enjoyed the general Americans, however the hard core Republicans...."

So if you have a problem with small subset of conservative Americans, just say so. But if you're going to bring outrageous stereotypical statements ("most of the Americans have never traveled outside of their hometown" - Really? Where's your statistical evidence? Where's your proof?), I can't help but charge you with accusing an entire nation for the wrongdoing of a relative few.

I, for one, would not stoop to dismissing ALL Germans and Italians for the undisputed, documented evils of Hitler and Mussolini.

I hope this is a little food for thought for you, my Italian friend (I am Chinese American, my wife is Sicilian American). Good luck to you and best on this glorious Fourth of July.
