DASH diet & Superbowl party?

If you are on the DASH diet and have any interesting recipes for a party I would love if you shared them!

My brother-in-law is on it and its really working for him and I know if he eats too much junk he feels ill so I'm looking for some interesting recipes!

If you don't know what the DASH diet is, its basically a healthy diet with a lot of vegetables and fruit, very limited salt and sugar, and a reasonable amount of protein.

Answer on DASH diet & Superbowl party?

Not on the diet, and I hadn't heard of it until now, but I'll throw out some basic ideas anyway!
Try chicken satay, it's very high in protein, and if you use boneless skinless chicken breasts, it's low fat.
How about some great chopped fruits, like strawberries, kiwis and pineapple? I like them plain, but a special treat is dipping the strawberries in low-fat sour cream or plain yogurt, then in a little brown sugar. MMM!
For veggies, maybe a nice variety of chopped raw ones like cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, grape tomatoes, etc. There are some delicious low-fat dips, like dill or ranch. Or a black bean salsa? My friend makes a great one with chopped red onions, black beans, green pepper, diced tomatoes, and cilantro. It's great alone or with tortilla chips.
Or how about a minestrone/vegetable soup? Those are so nutritious and filling. I attached a link to a recipe that I now want to try!
Hope this helps!
