I have had my laptop for 3-4 years and lately it has had some problems. It randomly shuts down. I'd be in the middle of updating my facebook status when suddenly my screen goes black and shuts down. When i press the power button it says "windows has unsuspectingly shut down". Also my keyboard randomly freeses. I'd be like hi frannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn… It would keep pressing a certain button and no other buttons would work unless i preform an emergency shutdown. I know there aren't any viruses or spy wear on my computer. Background of my laptop: I have had it for 3-4 years. Runs windows 7. 3GB of RAM. 64 bit operating system. Intel Core Duo CPU 2GHz processor. Has a built in finger print scanner and camera. I NEED it on for (at the MOST) 10 hours a day at a time.
I guess what my real question is...WTF is going on with my laptop, what's the problem, and how do i fix it?
Answer on My laptop randomly shuts down.?
mine used to do this and it was third hand so it was very old i hate to tell you but i think your laptop may be reaching its last legs, i recently had to buy a new one, anyway everytime mine went down it was because it was too hot, it doesnt take much like if we had the fire on at home it would overheat at least 3 times in 15 minutes, and also if i tried to get it to do a lot at a time it would often freeze so im not too sure what the solution is perhaps a colder room, and take things slow, but my brother did encourage me to defragment my laptop often which i could find on the start menu or he suggested i bought more ram for it, if you still have problems with it perhaps its time for a new laptop
