Should I reduce my carb intake?

I have been searching websites and some say that generally 20-70 grams of carbs daily will result in weight loss. When I looked at my daily carb requirement it said between 305-336 grams... so if I NEED this many carbs during the day should I reduce them this radically to lose weight, should i reduce them at all? I am a 35 year old female, 5'8", 159 lbs, moderate exercise (meaning I have a weekly eight hour job where i stand and walk a lot and then exercise about four times a week doing cardio and/or weight training for about 45 minutes), calorie intake average between 1700-2100.

Answer on Should I reduce my carb intake?

i cut mine right down to just 60 grams(starchy + fibrous) for 5 days then carb up from Fri night to Sun night BUT i keep the protein high at around 350 e/d to stop any catabolism, its from the ULTIMATE DIET 1 the original from the late genius Dan Duchaine and Michael Zumpano ,Lyle Mcdonald has published UD2 and his 'The Rapid Fat Loss Handbook' is well worth reading and extremely effective - his another genius btw as there's not much he doesn't know about fat loss/muscle growth etc...
